Office-Based Practicum Therapist
Minnetonka Office
Khatidja Jiwani is a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program at the University of St. Thomas, pursuing the Marriage and Family Therapy track. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan and is passionate about creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and accepted for who they are. Khatidja takes a collaborative, relational, and culturally responsive approach to therapy. She believes that clients are the experts in their own lives and works alongside them to recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change. She is particularly interested in supporting clients as they explore their identities, relationships, and experiences within their cultural and social contexts. As someone from a South Asian background, Khatidja understands the important role that culture, family, identity, and community can play in shaping how we understand ourselves and our relationships. She brings curiosity, authenticity, and warmth to her work and strives to meet each client where they are. She believes therapy can hold space for both difficult conversations and moments of humor, and she hopes to create a space where clients can be themselves without judgment while exploring what matters most to them.
Outside of the therapy room, Khatidja enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and playing board games.
