Kendra is a School-Based Therapist at Hopkins West Middle School with over 10 years of experience dedicated to advocating for children and families. Having served as an Associate Educator and Family Liaison within the Minneapolis Public School District, as well as a Children’s Mental Health Case Manager, Kendra brings a holistic understanding of the issues and systems impacting youth and families today. Kendra has experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and many other mental health issues using evidence-based treatment modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and CBT. Kendra also utilize mindfulness, movement, creative & artistic expression as well as psychoeducation in her work with teens and adolescents. Kendra’s practice is rooted in the power of genuine connection, trust, and empathy. Kendra meets her clients and families exactly where they are, creating a safe and compassionate space where they feel seen, heard and supported. Healing is a journey that requires collaborative work, and she is honored to walk hand-in-hand with youth and families as they heal, learn, grow, and work toward reaching their goals.
