School Services Practicum Therapist

Wayzata School District

Izzy is a Master of Social Work student at Saint Mary’s, currently embarking on their clinical practicum as a school-based therapist at East Middle School. Izzy’s professional journey has always revolved around supporting young people, particularly middle and high school-aged youth, which includes their current job at a high school where they provide learning support to students with accommodations. Izzy also is a youth hockey coach and works as an EMT at an overnight camp and at youth sporting events. Outside of work and school, Izzy enjoys playing the guitar, hiking and camping, weight lifting, and spending quality time with their family, friends, and dog Rufus.
Izzy’s approach to therapy is client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed, using a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Izzy full-heartedly believes in meeting clients where they are at and working collaboratively to address their problems and create solutions.
