Sean provides office-based psychotherapy to kids (6+), adolescents, adults, couples and families. Sean identifies as white, straight and male. His style is warm, collaborative, compassionate and creative, and grounded in relational and psychodynamic theories. This includes a focus on emotions, and beliefs that the past informs the present, that the therapeutic relationship itself is a vehicle for learning and healing, and that the goal for therapy is not just to relieve symptoms but to build capacity and resources. Sean has found that therapeutic work is enhanced by incorporating the body and uses Focusing and Brainspotting to encourage access to emotions held in the body. Sean has a background in philosophy and the creative arts, and loves exploring people’s dreams and goals to help them find their true path in life. In his free time, he does many outdoor sports, writes, and enjoys spending time with his partner and child.
