Relate therapists and counselors offer chemical assessments for adolescents and adults who want to better understand how chemical use is affecting their lives. Assessments are typically a one-time appointment with a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
We also offer an Adolescent Chemical Health Education group for adolescents and their parents and/or guardians-see Group Therapy to learn more about the group.
For adults and adolescents
A Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor will complete a full chemical dependency evaluation to determine the level of the client’s chemical use and will make recommendations based on their findings. To schedule a Chemical Dependency Assessment and for cost and payment options, please call the Intake Coordinator at Relate Counseling Center 952-932-7277. Relate does not offer Rule 25 assessments.
This psycho-educational class is ideal for adolescents in the beginning stages of chemical use, adolescents who have gotten into legal or school trouble because of chemical use, or parents have become concerned about their adolescent’s chemical use. This class gives information regarding the long and short term effects of drug/alcohol use and consequences related to use. Other areas covered are decision-making skills, personal reasons for using chemicals, coping skills for remaining sober, family communication and parental response.
