Relate offers a wide variety of services to individuals, couples, families, school districts, and community organizations. Please see the Counseling or School/Community Based pages for specific details.
Counseling for children, adolescents, and adults
Individual, couples, family and group therapy. Some issues covered include depression, anxiety, anger management, physical and sexual abuse, grief/loss, eating disorders, chemical abuse/dependency, parenting and relationship difficulties.
School-based counseling
On-site mental and chemical health services at schools provide various levels of interventions to youth and their families who may not otherwise access these services.
Youth counseling
Individual, family, and group counseling for youth who have committed offenses such as truancy, property offenses, and drug violations. Family involvement is required.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
This is a comprehensive DBT program with two components; one for adults, the other for adolescents and their families. Both include individual DBT therapy and skills training for the identified client. DBT is a program that assists individuals with emotional regulation and self harm behaviors to develop a worthwhile life.
Chemical Health programs
Chemical Health services include drug and alcohol assessments and counseling for both adolescents and adults, and a psycho-educational group for adolescents referred by courts, parents, school personnel, law enforcement, employers, or themselves. Other services include the West Hennepin Mental Health/Chemical Health assessment for adolescents, an Early Intervention and Prevention Group for adolescents, and "At Wit's End," a group for parents of adolescents struggling with chemical health problems.
Psychological testing
Testing to assess psychological, behavioral, and intellectual functioning.
