It is not uncommon for individuals of all ages to experience difficulties with nearly 1 in 5 children impacted by mental health concerns at some point in their lives. Relate Counseling Center is committed to helping improve the social, emotional, and behavioral functioning of children, adolescents, and their families. We strive to help individuals and their families develop skills to be successful at home, at school, and in the community. Services for children and adolescents are flexible to meet the needs of each client and can include individual therapy, family therapy, and/or parenting support. Our providers support children through a range of modalities. Interactive techniques such as play or art are often incorporated to best meet each child’s developmental needs. Support is available for children or adolescents experiencing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, AD/HD, peer difficulty, grief and loss, trauma, developmental concerns, school difficulties, and adjustment to transitions or family changes.

Relate Counseling Center also recognizes that prevention and early intervention play an important role in supporting children and their families. In order to address this need Relate partners with several school districts to provide Early Childhood services. Through Early Childhood programming, clinicians can support families with questions or concerns regarding child development, emotional or behavioral difficulties, family stressors, and parenting.
